The prices of Japanese-manufactured gadgets are set to rise in the coming months, due to recent currency fluctuations between the euro and the yen, writes Adrian Weckler.

The prices of Japanese-manufactured gadgets are set to rise in the coming months, due to recent currency fluctuations between the euro and the yen, writes Adrian Weckler.

Electronics products from Canon, Sony, Panasonic, Mitsubishi and Hitachi could all be affected, as euro rates continue to strengthen against the Japanese yen.

However, it is unlikely that games consoles such as Sony’s PlayStation 3 or Nintendo’s Wii will be affected.
