Details of a €1.2 million initial research programme in the Cloud Computing Technology Research Centre were announced by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton.

€1.2 million cloud computing research programme launched
Richard Bruton: Ireland has the potential to reap substantial benefits in terms of jobs and growth from the global expansion of cloud computing.

Details of a €1.2 million initial research programme in the Cloud Computing Technology Research Centre were announced by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton.

The funding will be allocated over 12 months to a consortium of higher education institutions to carry out the initial research programme. Led by Dublin City University, the research consortium includes University College Cork, Athlone Institute of Technology and input from the Innovation Value Institute at NUI Maynooth.
