The €110 million Aer Lingus pension deal is "on a knife-edge" because of a series of disagreements between the airline and its trade unions, according to a source close to the process.

The disagreements centre on apparent discrepancies in data provided by the airline about the pension to the Stock Exchange, which could have "a very significant financial impact on the resolution of this pensions' crisis", Siptu wrote in a letter to the airline seen...
