EU presidency has been good for Ireland, says Kenny

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has been addressing the European Parliament in Strasbourg this morning, as he reflects on Ireland's six months of EU presidency.

In an address to the European Parliament this morning, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the six months of EU presidency had been good for Ireland, adding that he hoped they had been good for Europe too.

"I believe in the idea of Europe as our home," he said. "As Europeans we do ourselves an injustice at failing to marvel at what we have made."
