The European Court of Justice (ECJ) will give judgment on Wednesday in two cases relating to asylum-seekers who have refused to be sent back to countries with an inadequate asylum policy.

The cases, from the Irish High Court and the English Court of Appeal, raise questions about the EU's system for dealing with refugees and asylum-seekers.
