European Affairs Minister Lucinda Creighton said it would “send a very negative signal to investors” if voters didn’t pass a national referendum on the European fiscal compact.

It would be “very difficult” if Ireland were the only euro zone country not to ratify the treaty, Creighton said in an interview on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland programme. *(continues below)*
