In The Sunday Business Post of January 22, there was an unfortunate inaccuracy in a small item on page 4 headed "Lecturer leaves €4.1m".
Richard Ferrer Timoney - almost a namesake of mine - was a professor of pharmacy, retired for several years, rather than a mathematics lecturer. He was known to generations of pharmacists in Ireland, because of his role in what was, until recent years, the only school of pharmacy in the state.
