Estate agent Savills has laid off staff in Dublin and imposed pay cuts of up to 22 per cent on its Irish employees, in response to the continuing downturn in the property market.

Estate agent Savills has laid off staff in Dublin and imposed pay cuts of up to 22 per cent on its Irish employees, in response to the continuing downturn in the property market.

The international firm has offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Belfast, after buying Hamilton Osborne King for €50 million at the peak of the property boom in June 2006. However, two of the firm’s ten offices nationwide have closed in the past year...
