Estate agent leaves almost €70m

Estate agent John Finnegan left an estate worth €68.5 million when he died almost four years ago, writes Gavin Daly.

Finnegan, who had an address at Seapoint Avenue in Monkstown in south Dublin, died on February 8,2 006, aged 72. His estate was worth €68,481,739, according to records filed at the Probate Office in Dublin last week.

The cofounder of Finnegan Menton estate agents in Dublin in early 1960, Finnegan was a well-known figure in business and political circles.
