The government is in talks with ESB to use its assets and resources in a national housing energy retrofitting plan to create thousands of jobs.
The talks are part of the government’s jobs initiative, which is to be unveiled next month, and which will draw heavily on the resources of semi-state companies, state tour ism bodies and domestic and overseas development and enterprise agencies.
