ERP: Collaboration is the future for firms

Companies are using ERP systems to provide important operational information to shape their most crucial decisions, writes Caroline Allen.

A recent report by technology firm Access has found that companies are relying on ERP systems primarily to provide valuable operational data to inform important decisions.

Released last October, 'The Future of Technology: Transforming Mid-Market Operations' identified a move towards hosted ERP.

Jon Jorgensen, group sales director with Access, said companies were replacing their ten-year-old systems and opting for less expensive, yet powerful solutions on SaaS platforms. Mobile platforms are also increasingly common.
