Enterprise Ireland to lay off 90 staff

Enterprise Ireland, the job creation agency, is laying off 90 staff.

The agency, which employs 600 people in Dublin, has been seeking voluntary redundancies for the past seven months as it seeks to restructure its operations. None of the 90 staff will be replaced.

The employees come from all departments in the state agency, and will leave within the next few months. A spokesman for Enterprise Ireland said the 90 staff members had opted to accept a ‘‘voluntary leaving programme’’ and that none of the redundancies was forced....
