Enterprise Ireland is to put €60m into venture capital funds which establish a presence in Ireland, according to a report.

Minister Richard Bruton made the announcement in San Francisco.

The Government through Enterprise Ireland will invest a total of more than €60million in venture capital funds which establish a presence in Ireland, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton has said.

The announcement of a second call from Innovation Fund Ireland represents the delivery of a commitment from the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs and is part of a bid to attract top venture capitalists to Ireland, the Minister said.
