Enterprise Ireland has emerged as a significant investor in the Waterford-based pilot training agency involved in a Florida course that has been halted suddenly, according to RTE.

Trainee pilots stranded in Florida are worried they will lose significant amounts of money.

RTE News said Enterprise Ireland had been supporting the Waterford-based company, Pilot Training Centre, since 2008. In 2010 it took a significant stake in the firm by buying €400,000 of its shares.
