The Waterford Crystal saga is nearing its endgame, with workers voting today on Labour Court and union proposals that could decide the fate of the world-famous glassware firm.

The vote will come after a fortnight of discussions between the US private equity buyer of Waterford Wedgwood group, the receiver Deloitte, and trade unions.
