Employment "a highlight" as services sector advances

Ireland’s services sector continued to make positive momentum throughout the month of June with an uplift in job creation proving “a particular highlight”, according to Investec’s monthly PMI.

Ireland’s services sector continued to make positive momentum throughout the month of June with an uplift in job creation proving “a particular highlight”, according to Investec’s monthly Services Purchasing Managers’ Index.

The headline PMI, at 54.9, indicates an 11th successive month of growth in June, with the pace of expansion accelerating from May’s 52.7 reading. Any figure above 50 indicates expansion in the sector.
