Electronics show dominated by tablets, Android and Google TV

Whereas last year it was 3D, this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES)was dominated by tablet PCs, smartphone accessories and internet televisions.

More than a dozen manufacturers announced rivals to Apple’s iPad, most using the latest version of Google’s Android operating system, Honeycomb.

But the two most eagerly-awaited tablets, BlackBerry’s Playbook and Apple’s iPad 2, were not on show in Las Vegas.
