On a cold Saturday afternoon in February, a giant Currys store in north Dublin’s Gulliver’s Retail Park stands almost deserted. There are just three staff on the huge shop floor, with hundreds of TVs, washing machines and cameras on display. They have little to do; no one is buying anything today.
