Electric B-Class leads the charge

A revised Mercedes B-Class is on the way, led by the zero emissions Electric Drive model, writes Shane O'Donoghue

The new Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive sprints up to speed in a manner not at all in keeping with its tree-hugging image.

A face-lifted version of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class will arrive on Ireland’s shores in the next month, with prices set to start at about €31,000. Though four petrol-powered models will be offered, it’s expected that the vast majority will be diesel – and most of those will be either the entry-level B 160 CDI Style or the B 180 CDI model.
