Eircom is to trial a new television service, part of a €60 million network upgrade plan, aimed at bringing it into competition with NTL and Magnet Entertainment.
It will feature on-demand programmes and films, where users can pick programmes from any part of listed TV schedules and pause, fast-forward or rewind through the broadcast.
