Eircom to seek 2,000 job cuts as part of major restructuring

Eircom is to cut 2,000 staff from its workforce of 5,700, in restructuring plans seen by The Sunday Business Post.

A circular has been drawn up for staff at the company which outlines a huge restructuring programme. Headcount will be reduced significantly and staff are expected to redeploy to new areas or else “exit” the company.
