Eircom targets Polish community with 75 per cent cuts on phone calls

Eircom will cut the cost of phone calls to Poland by up to 75 per cent later this month, when it launches a special phone package aimed at the 120,000 Polish immigrants based here.

Eircom will cut the cost of phone calls to Poland by up to 75 per cent later this month, when it launches a special phone package aimed at the 120,000 Polish immigrants based here.

The telecoms firm will reduce the cost of calls to Polish landlines to 10 cent a minute, down from 39 cent a minute at present. Calls to mobile phones in Poland will fall to 25 cent at off-peak periods and 31 cent during the day.
