Eircom plans fibre roll-out as cost cutting balances revenue fall

Eircom remains on target to commence the first phase of its fibre building programme in January 2012, it said in a trading update.

Eircom remains on target to commence the first phase of its fibre building programme in January 2012, according to a trading update from the company. The programme is expected to deliver fibre connections to 100,000 premises by next summer, the update said.
