An Eircom employee who claimed that she was given no work for almost six years has been awarded €87,000 in damages by the High Court.

An Eircom employee who claimed that she was given no work for almost six years has been awarded €87,000 in damages by the High Court.

Maria Cronin, 29, started working with Telecom Eireann in March 1999.Fourmonths later, when Eircom plc was floated, she became an employee of the new public company.
