Eircom: decline continues but pace slowing

UPDATE: Eircom has said the performance of its business is continuing to decline but said the pace of decline was slowing.

Eircom: revenue down 7%

Eircom's chief executive Herb Hribar has said the company's business was ontinuing to decline but said the pace of decline was slowing.

In a quarterly trading update, Eircom reported a seven per cent drop in revenue to €363 million for the three months to the end of September.

EBITDA earnings fell ten per cent to ���124 million. The total customer base stood at 2,058,000, including 1,079,000 mobile customers.
