If you have private health insurance, you might be able to get a discount on your travel insurance.

If you intend to head off to sunnier climes this summer, make sure you have the right insurance cover to avoid any nasty surprises if you have to make a claim.

With basic annual travel cover available for less than €20 per year for an individual, consumers have a lot of good value choices available to them.

But, remember: it's only good value if it provides the cover that's right for you and your family.
