Is Sky's high-definition TV service fizzling out before it takes off? According to its most recent set of figures, it has garnered a very small number of HD subscribers in Ireland, perhaps as low as 13,000 to 14,000.

This is despite heavy marketing campaigns on its part over the past six months and widespread press interest (including in this newspaper).
