Yesterday a group of entrants splashed into the chilly, murky waters of a 120-yard bog drain in Peatlands Park, Tyrone, planning to swim its length with the aid of a snorkel and mask and without using any convent ional swimming strokes.
Their mission was to become Northern Ireland Bog Snorkelling Champion and to raise awareness of the issue of bog conservation.
