The European Commission has forced the government to give a range of undertakings that will dramatically rein in the powers granted to the National Asset Management Agency (Nama).
Correspondence between the commission and the government, which has been seen by The Sunday Business Post, reveals that the government has given assurances that Nama will not use a number of the powers that were contained in last December’s Nama Act.
