EBay cuts revenue outlook for 2014

EBay has cut its revenue outlook for 2014 as the company recovers from the impact of a security breach that slowed customer growth and prepares to split off from its payments arm PayPal.

EBay has cut its revenue outlook for 2014 as the company recovers from the impact of a security breach that slowed customer growth and prepares to split off from its payments arm PayPal.

Revenue of between $17.8 and $17.9 billion is expected for the full year, down from the previous forecast of $18-18.3 billion.

The company forecast fourth-quarter growth of less than $5 billion.
