The Competition Authority has sanctioned a joint venture between Irish newspaper and magazine distributor Eason & Son and John Menzies, a €2 billion Scottish logistics firm.
The authority has written to both companies in recent days informing them that it has approved the joint venture after carrying out an investigation into the deal.
