High retailer demand for units is the reason for rent increases of between 40 and 100 per cent at Dundrum Town Centre, according to its owner, Chartered Land.

Half a dozen Dundrum retailers confirmed they were in negotiations or arbitration, but were locked into upward-only rental leases. The centre was developed by Joe O’Reilly, and his company Chartered Land is the landlord for the retailers.
