Dukes says he has no choice but to repay Anglo bond
IBRC chairman Alan Dukes said he can understand people feel upset about the repayment of over €700 million to Anglo Irish bondholders today but that the bank has no choice.
Chairman of Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC) Alan Dukes has said that he can understand how people feel upset about the repayment of over €700 million to Anglo Irish bondholders today but that the bank has no choice but to pay it.
Dukes said that the next maturity of an Anglo Irish bond will be in January and that this will be “somewhere over a billion euro”.
