Shoppers in Dublin's city centre will, from next month, unknowingly have their movements monitored by heat-sensitive technology like that used by the US military.

Shoppers in Dublin's city centre will, from next month, unknowingly have their movements monitored by heat-sensitive technology like that used by the US military.

The Dublin City Business Association (DCBA) has installed machinery throughout the city centre. This is designed to produce an accurate picture for the first time of how many people are shopping on which street and at which times.
