Harcourt Developments, the Dublin property group controlled by Pat Doherty, is in talks to buy a luxury hotel and golf resort in the Bahamas.

The group, whose directors include former RTE presenter Mike Murphy, is in negotiations to acquire the Royal Oasis resort property, which has been closed since it was struck by Hurricane Frances in 2004.
