Dublin has lost out to Cape Town in its bid to become World Design Capital for 2014.

Dublin has lost out to Cape Town in its bid to become World Design Capital for 2014.

The accolade is awarded to cities based on their commitment to use design as an effective tool for social, cultural and economic development, according to it’s promoters, the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid).
