Dublin incinerator row heats up

The Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell, has asked environment minister Dick Roche for his papers supporting a decision to approve plans for an incinerator in McDowell's constituency.

The Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell, has asked environment minister Dick Roche for his papers supporting a decision to approve plans for an incinerator in McDowell's constituency.

McDowell asked Roche for the papers backing a public private partnership (PPP) to build the incinerator in Dublin South East.

It's unclear as yet if McDowell, a longtime opponent of the incinerator, will question Roche's decision.
