An Irish company is seeking to offer 1 gigabit per second (Gbs) broadband services to companies and business parks with high data requirements.

Dublin-based Wireless Projects has secured technology from US equipment firm Gigabeam which allows the transfer of very fast fibre internet out of the ground to wireless receivers within an 8 kilometre zone.
