Dublin City Council is set to increase bin charges, as losses mount in the operation of its waste management collections system.

Dublin City Council is set to increase bin charges, as losses mount in the operation of its waste management collections system.

The move comes as the Environmental Protection Agency prepares to publish its annual report on waste across Ireland, showing a fall of 8 per cent in waste generated.

The capital’s public waste collection services are also facing significant rationalisation, as losses mount on the exchequer funded collection services.
