Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Sumitomo Corporation have started talks on integrating SMFL Aircraft Capital Corporation Japan and Sumisho Aircraft Asset Management into Dublin-based SMBC Aviation Capital.

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Sumitomo Corporation have started talks on integrating SMFL Aircraft Capital Corporation Japan and Sumisho Aircraft Asset Management into Dublin-based SMBC Aviation Capital.

The firms said the integration is aimed at developing the third-largest aircraft leasing business in the world, centred on SMBC Aviation Capital.

They are seeking to reach agreement on the integration, as well as the integration itself, as early as possible.
