Dublin architects win prize for Belfast theatre design

Belfast’s Lyric Theatre, designed by Dublin-based architects O’Donnell and Tuomey, has won “Building of the Year” at the Royal Society of Ulster Architects’ 2012 Design Awards.

Times have been tough for Irish architects in recent years but at least one firm is rising above the gloom.

Belfast’s Lyric Theatre, designed by Dublin-based architects O’Donnell and Tuomey, has won the Liam McCormick prize for the “Building of the Year” at the Royal Society of Ulster Architects’ 2012 Design Awards.
