A Dublin Make Poverty History rally will take place, starting on Parnell Square, this Thursday at 6.30pm.

The event will include music from Irish bands and addresses by trade union leaders, development organisations and speakers from the developing world.

Well-known personalities, including South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Bono and Bob Geldof, have urged people to take part in the rally.
