Dublin airport traffic rises but Shannon's descent continues

International arrivals and departures at Ireland’s state airports were up 6.9 per cent in October compared to the same month in 2011, according to the Irish Aviation Authority.

Shannon Airport saw its traffic fall a further 12.9 per cent to an average of 50 daily movements.

International arrivals and departures at Ireland’s state airports were up 6.9 per cent in October compared to the same month in 2011, according to traffic figures from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA).

But the increase was largely driven by Dublin airport, which saw commercial terminal traffic rise 10.5 per cent, with 470 average daily movements. Shannon Airport, by contrast, saw its traffic fall a further 12.9 per cent to an average of 50 daily movements....
