Dublin Airport expects its transatlantic traffic to hit a new record this year with more than 1.8 million passengers expected to fly between North America and Dublin.

Dublin Airport expects its transatlantic traffic to hit a new record this year with more than 1.8 million passengers expected to fly between North America and Dublin.

The airport has already welcomed almost 1.3 million transatlantic passengers, a 14 per cent rise from 2012.

Transatlantic passenger numbers peaked at 1.75 million in 2008 but fell just under 1.5 million in 2010.
