Dublin Airport plans €1m refurbishment of Pier B

A major refurbishment of 300 boarding gates, which have been in use for over 50 years, is due to be completed before the summer season, writes Nicola Cooke.

Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) is investing more than €1 million in a major refurbishment of 300 boarding gates, formerly known as Pier B, which are used by many business travellers daily.

The construction programme, which is being carried out on a phased basis by Flynn Management & Contractors, started last week, and is due to be completed before the busy summer peak period.
