Drury: Ryder Cup to promote Ireland globally

Fintan Drury, the chairman of sports management company Platinum One, has said the staging of the Ryder Cup in Ireland next year must be used to promote the country on a global scale.

“This isn't just about next year,” said Drury. “The event will be worth €100 million to the economy directly, but the follow-on effect will be enormous.”
