A convicted drug smuggler who used a fake Irish passport to travel the world is battling in an Australian court to hold onto his French villa.

A convicted drug smuggler who used a fake Irish passport to travel the world is battling in an Australian court to hold onto his French villa.

Malcolm Gordon Field is alleged to have secretly owned the plush villa in Cannes in the south of France through an Irish company called Pegasus Properties. Pegasus bought Villa Carasin in 1994 for about €750,000, according to filings in the Companies Registration Office in Dublin.
