The future of Drogheda United FC is hanging in the balance, with discussions continuing about locating a proposed €35 million stadium on a new site.

Vincent Hoey, chairman of the club, said he was ‘‘doing everything I possibly can’’ to save the club, with a decision on its future expected to be made this week.

Investors in Drogheda United are reported to have spent €12 million in the past four years...
