Draghi welcomes new Irish budget

ECB President Mario Draghi has welcomed the latest budget for Ireland as "a reaffirmation of the successful commitment of the Irish government in restoring sound economic conditions."

He brushed aside a question about changes to Ireland's promissory note repayments, saying: "the ECB cannot undertake any agreement that is being viewed as monetary financing .. other than that there is plenty of good will."
