Draghi: Precautionary credit line "would be useful"

A precautionary credit programme would be useful for Ireland as it exits the bailout, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi has said.

A precautionary credit programme would be useful for Ireland as it exits the bailout, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi has said.

Draghi said however that it was "entirely in the hands of the Irish government" to decide if such a line was to be sought.

He said the Irish government had to be congratulated on the success of its actions over the last few years but that more action was needed on certain areas...
